About Me

Sarah L. Schroer, LSCSW
Transforming Care, LLC
Psychotherapy for the Mind, Body & Spirit

I have over 10 years experience working as a social worker/therapist in a number of different settings, including outpatient mental health, foster care, and the Department of Veterans Affairs. Additionally, I have a graduate certification in Gerontology and I have provided individual and group outpatient therapy to older adults/senior citizens at assisted living facilities. I am a strengths-based, solution-focused therapist. My therapeutic approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach individualized to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain their goals.

*****Evidence indicates that the most important aspect of therapy is the relationship between therapist and client, regardless of treatment modality (ex. cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, ACT, etc.) applied. This is the very foundation of my work with all of my clients. This is the reason why every person I see is treated as a unique individual and their therapy/treatment plan is designed to reflect their specific needs and strengths.*****
